About me
For over a decade, I have taught theatre and produced newly devised shows with youth and communities from pre-school to professionals. I have come to know that communities instinctually know what they want to see and work on artistically and often times we have to remove some daily barriers to hear the ensemble's intelligent impulses. I began my teaching artist career by working with many organizations in Philadelphia and Central New Jersey (Yes! And...Collaborative Arts, White Pines Productions, West-Windsor-Plainsboro School District, Eastern University) while also running 24 hour new play festivals through a small theatre company I cofounded: Chalkboard Theatre Project. From 2017-2023 I worked as the Senior Theatre Programs Coordinator at Hyde Square Task Force (HSTF), in Boston, where I supported the devising processes and production of ten main stage productions. In March 2023, I obtained my MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts, with a Performance Concentration, from Goddard College in Plainfield, VT. My praxis (artistic practice and theory) sits at the intersection of studying living systems theory and instigating collaborative ensembles so that they can create shifts and change systems through improvising and devising. Currently, I work at HSTF as the Recruitment & Enrollment Manager while I train & perform with another theatre ensemble I cofounded called Karakatitsa Movement Collective. All of this while I am learning more about the new community I recently moved to in Pawtucket, RI.
