About me
Annalise Guidry is a non-binary Black and Puerto Rican theater artist from New Orleans, based in Boston with a background in anthropology. They have shown a deep commitment to theater and the Boston community during their time so far working with The Theater Offensive as their True Colors Resident Artist, with Company One Theater as a Volt Lab participant and teaching artist, with Fresh Ink Theater as a playwright and dramaturg (Mad Dash 2023, The More the Man 2024); and finally as the Artistic and Community Engagement Fellow with Speakeasy Stage. Annalise has worked through the direction and co-direction of six plays, with three being original written works, including 3 Womxn, 3 Myths (Edinburgh Fringe), and Just a Thing (Emerson College). Annalise utilizes anthropological notions and methods to supplement their theater practice that centers humanness and interconnectedness while honoring our many multiplicities for liberation during their work as a playwright, director, dramaturg, and teaching artist.
